The round-the-clock pjtrol setup has been enforced since Tuesday night. Two deputies in a patrol car and a radio man in the sheriffs office in the couit house are an all-night duty. Arceneayx said his deputies work an eight-hour shift, with one crew coming on at 5 p.m. and patroling until 1 a.m., another reporting at 1 a.m. and working until 8 a.m., when the day shift comes into the office.

The sheriff pointed out that the 1 to 8 a.m. radio shift was in-imurated while former sheriff; Walter V. Larcade was in office, but two deputies have now been added to the morning force.
