Viera Herbert Guidry Anna Mae Mahl Redd LAFAYETTE Anna MAURICE Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice for Herbert Guidry, 77, who passed away on May 18, 2012 at at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend O. Joseph Breaux, Pastor of St. LAFAYETTE Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.

at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church for Raul J. Viera, D.D.S., 89, who passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home in Lafayette, Louisiana. Born in Puerto Rico in 1923, he served in the US Armed Forces prior Mae Mahl Redd, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to gather for a Mass on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 5:30 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA.

Mrs. Redd was the An celovea wite ot 64 years to John R. Redd, loving mother of Deborah Ann R. McEwen (Rick), John R. Redd, III (Ann) and Rozellyn Marie R.

Romano (Mickey); grandmother of Ryan Landry (Kathryn), Jonathan Landry (Abby), Michael Cappo (Hellen), Joshua Redd, Tyler Redd, Christopher Cappo (Sarah), Jordan Redd, Timothy Redd and Heidi Redd; and sister of Louise Carr, Dorothy Fuselier (Roe), JoAnn Duvalle and Jacqueline Gerstner (Frederick). She was preceded in death by her mother, Winifred Mae Adams Mahl; her father, Alexander Frederick Mahl; and her brother, Edward Frederick Mahl. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, a resident of Lafayette, LA for the past 6 years and a former resident of St. Bernard Parish, LA. Mrs.

Redd was a member of the Ladies Night Out Social Club and the Fun For All Social Club of St. Bernard Parish. She was also a member of the Rose House Poker Club and Bingo Group in Lafayette. Farrel Lafayette, LA 70508, 337-984-2811 to attending LSU in Baton Rouge and later completed Loyola School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Viera had a successful orthodontics practice in New Orleans until his retirement in 2004. After Hurricane Katrina, he and his wife, Iris, moved to Lafayette. He will be greatly missed by Iris, his beloved wife of 59 years and their four children: Raul and his wife, Mella of Lafayette; James and his wife, Peggy of Metairie, Dino and his wife, Mary of Gonzales and Iris Viera Szachacz of Austin, Texas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Raul and Elizabeth Viera, Bailey Viera and Ana Maria Szachacz. He also leaves behind family and friends in New Orleans and Puerto Rico including his two sisters, Victoria Zalduando and Gloria Quinones. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday.

Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Oaks in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Condolences may be sent to raul.viera lusfiber.net. Guidry, a resident of Maurice, LA, was the son of the late Roual Guidry and the former Mable Rogers. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Herbert was loved by his family and will be missed. He is survived by wife Beverly Ann Guidry of Maurice, LA; one daughter Charlene Menard and husband Calvin of Maurice, LA; two sons, Patrick Guidry and wife Doris of Maurice, LA and Kenneth Guidry and wife Stephanie of Holden, LA; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Billie Joe Guidry, one brother Wilford Guidry, one sister Ruby Guidry Daigle and one grandson Kevin Menard. CHALMETTE Jane Fontaine Solis of New Orleans, Chalmette and Lafayette, LA passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 after a brief illness. Jane is predeceased by her husband, John Richard Solis, and her daughter Linda Catherine Solis. She was a nurturing provider, fierce defender and all around best Mama Vi.

Mrs. Vincent, a resident of Maurice, LA, was the daughter of the late Joseph Broussard and the former Valerie Trahan both of Maurice, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was born in Youngsville, LA and had lived in Maurice most of her life.

She is survived by two daughters; Glenda Monnin and Debbie Vincent, two sons; Raynold and close companion Maudrey, John Wayne Vincent, three sisters; Laurence Romero, Helen Hebert and Velma Broussard. four brothers; Antoine, Eugene, Alton and Lolis Broussard. ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also her close companion and friend Roy Johnson. She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband Romain Vincent, four sisters; Leoine Vicknair, Naomie Dartez, Inez Duhon and Eugenie "Jane" Jambon; four brothers; Dennis, Willis, Wilfred and Roy Broussard; a daughter-in-law, Linda Richard Vincent.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of fifty five years, Ralph Soileau of Pine Prairie, her son, Dr. Tony Soileau and his wife, Dr. Kelly Breaux of Broussard, her daughter, Julie Soileau Landreneau and her husband, Dr. N. Paul Landreneau, Jr.

of Lafayette, her six grandchildren, Nathan, Anna, Amelia, Isaac and David Landreneau and Andrew Soileau, three sisters, Connie Deshotel McDaniel and her husband, Saviel of Lake Charles, Gaynel Viscardis of Beaver Creek and Brenda Sue Johnson and her husband, Wayne of Lafayette and a host of other family and friends. Being a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend were her life's callings. As an educator for 31 years at Pine Prairie High School, "Mrs. Roe" was a third grade classroom teacher before becoming a curriculum coordinator. Children were her life.

She served as a Eucharistic Minister at Prairie Manor Nursing Home, where her weekly presence brought joy and laughter to all she served. Her greatest treasures were her children and grandchildren, who called her "Mo Mo She will always be remembered for her radiant smile and wit and the loving, gracious friendships she shared. She adored and doted on her grandchildren' and is remembered by them as the provider of many great adventures: Jason Kennedy Tristam Solis (wife Heather Solis), Andre Solis, Selena Solis, Theresa Landry, John Greene, Christopher Greene, Ciaran Ussher, Alexander Moran and one great-grandchild Jayson Greene. One of twelve children of the late Robert and Florence(Marrero)Fontaine; she is predeceased by Doris Chauppette Burger, Thais Vogt, Colleen Fontaine and brother Robert Joseph Fontaine Jr. and survived by sisters Jewel Hebert, Sally Delouise, Barbara Fontaine, Florence Batschauer, Linda Hutchins and Lorraine Fontaine. She desired to give special mention to her dear friend, George Vallee. Jane enjoyed living life to the fullest and leaves us all with the memories of a life well spent.

She was a straight talker, graceful dancer, sharp wit, heck of a card player, football fanatic and was renowned for lighting up every room with her sparkling presence. The visitation will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 701 West Virtue Chalmette, LA on Monday May 21, 2012 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, followed by her interment in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. A prayer service will be led by Reverend Chris Blanchard or Covenant United Methodist Church.
