Advertiser Wilfred J. Clark, Jr. LAFAYETTE Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for Wilfred J. Clark, 61, who passed away on September 21, 2010 at 1:18 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Mike Madden of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses will conduct the funeral services.

Mr. Clark, a resident of Scott, LA, was the son of the late Wilfred John Clark, Sr. of Gueydan, Louisiana and the former Mary Ann Bergeron of Houma, Louisiana. Wilfred was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was an artist that loved, pencil sketching.

He also liked jigsaw puzzles and cooking. He an avid cyclist that went on many trips while he employed at Pack and Paddle. was He is survived by two sisters, Vergie Harrington and husband Daniel of Patterson, and Susan Welsh and husband David of Alva, FL; two brothers, Paul Clark and his wife Mel of Sunset, LA, and Timothy Clark of Scott, LA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Harold J. Courville CANKTON Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2010 at a 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Harold J.

Courville, age 67, who passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 12:15 a.m. at his residence in Cankton. Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Cemetery in Cankton. The Rev.

Henry J. Broussard, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Wanda Goulas and Lisa Brewer. Giftbearers will be Wendy Moreau, Michelle Verret and Patty Trahan.

Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be Amazing Grace, We're Standing On Holy Ground, The Old Rugged Cross, Precious Lord, Take My Hand and Here I Am Lord. Mr. Courville was a native of Sunset and had been a resident of Lafayette for forty-nine years. He was employed with National Republic Distributing of Lafayette for thirty-nine years.

Mr. Courville was a musician who loved to play the accordion and the drums. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton. Survivors include his wife of forty nine years, Ruby Goulas Courville, of Lafayette; two daughters, Janice Landry and her husband, Sonny, and Nicole Dupuis and her husband, David, all of Cankton; Stacy Courville Stutes, who he loved as his own child; three grandchildren, Coby Landry, Chad Landry and Emma Dupuis; one great grandchild, Tristyn Landry; and one sister, Ruby Courville Richard of Sunset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse Courville and the former Alice Thibodeaux. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by Wanda Goulas. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 18, 2010, in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Shawn was a native of Vinton and attended Crossroads Baptist Church. He was a member of the horseman's association. He was an outrider at the Kentucky Derby, and led. Super Saver with Calvin Borel into the Winner's Circle as a gift from his fellow outriders Greg Blasi and Lee Lockwood for Shawn's upcoming retirement.

Survivors include father John Brasseaux, daughter Casey Brasseaux of Orange Springs, FL; sister Bridgette Brasseaux of Vinton; niece Rylee Broussard; nephew Dillon Freeman; and his "Brother-in-Law" Waid Broussard. Paddy was born in Franklin on February 28, 1927 and was a lifelong resident of Franklin until January of this year when she moved to Alexandria. Paddy was the devoted wife of E.J.

Champagne to whom she was married for 63 years. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney J. Richard; her mother, Winifred Campbell Richard; an infant son, E.J. Champagne III; and her sister, Sidonie R.

Bodin. She is survived by her husband, E.J. Champagne Jr. of Alexandria; her daughter, Cindi Angers and husband, Trent, of Lafayette, Michele Champagne and Joy Juderman of Alexandria, Denise Yonge of Foley, and Jany Champagne of Youngsville; her grandson, Kaz Baczinskas, a chiropractic intern in Dallas; two sisters, Hope Sansing of Alexandria, and Sharon Biggs and her husband, Donald of Lafayette; two brothers, Sidwin Richard and his wife, Jeannie of New Iberia, and Sidney J. Richard Jr.

and his wife, Gayle of Franklin; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Rayne, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Guidry was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Guidry loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jerry Louis Jacques LAFAYETTE Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010, at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin Castille in Lafayette for Jerry Louis Jacques, 67, who passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Texas. Jodi Bollich, organist, will play for the services. Survivors include his mother, Lucille Jacques of Lafayette; grandson, Brandon Jacque of Lafayette; and three sisters, Lucy Jacques Persky and her husband Stephen of Houston, Texas, Joyce LeBlanc and her husband Curtis of Breaux Bridge and Mildred Segura and her husband Nolan of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his son, Shane Louis Jacque; his father, Louis Jacques; and one brother, Richard Jacques. Jerry was an adventurer that took him all over the country. He was also an entrepreneur, in that he ran several businesses from Lafayette to Bay St.

Louis. He was also a friend to the ones that needed and he cared for his mother as her needs increased with age. One of his more adventurous efforts was that he was a well known rooster fighter throughout the whole southern region. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but he will never be forgotten. Pallbearers will be Kevin Segura, Kevin Segura, Corey Landry, Cody Landry, Nolan Segura and Brandon Jacque.

A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Eric was a 2008 graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and was attending South Louisiana Community College (SLCC). One of his passions in life was music and he had a natural gift in playing the piano and singing. While at STM, he was involved in both band and chorus. In his earlier years, Eric was involved in Karate and earned his Junior Black Belt at the age of 10.

He was an avid video game player and won many challenges with his friends. Eric had a fascination with cars, his knowledge base was second to none. His love for traveling gave him the opportunity to travel worldwide. He enjoyed the "finer things in life" and was a devoted friend to many of which a definite void will be felt. Survivors include his father and step mother, Stephen J.

and Jeanie Simon Domingue; his mother, Karen Elizabeth Drouant; two sisters, his twin, Elizabeth Marie "Liz-z" Domingue, and Stefani Claire Domingue; his paternal grandparents, Harold and Mackie Domingue; his maternal grandfather, Louis Drouant; his girlfriend, Brittany Broussard; and his feline companion, Christian. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kay Gilfoil Drouant. Rev. Joe Breaux, STM's Honorary Spiritual Director, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the services. The Con-celebrant will be Rev.

Harold Trahan, Pastor of St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Catholic Church. Lectors will be Denise Scelfo and Mark Hubbard. Eric's parents and sisters will bring up the Gifts at Offertory. Music will be provided by his music mentors from STM.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Martin Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Thursday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
